Terminal Link Vault ("the App") is developed by Gil Finkelstein. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.

Terminal Link Vault stores all your saved links, categories, and vault data locally on your device. The only external communication occurs when processing a new link, where the URL and its fetched content are sent to OpenAI's API to generate a summary and category.

The App may access or process the following information to provide its core features:

URLs You Save

When you add a link, the App fetches the web page content from that URL. The URL and fetched content are then sent to OpenAI's API to generate an AI summary and auto-assign a category. This is the only data sent externally.

Network Access

Required to fetch web page content from URLs you save and to communicate with OpenAI's API for AI-powered summaries and categorization.

Clipboard (Optional)

The App may read your clipboard when you tap "Add Link" to conveniently paste a copied URL. Clipboard data is only accessed with your action and is never stored or transmitted beyond the link-saving process.

Terminal Link Vault uses OpenAI's API to generate AI summaries and auto-categorize saved links. When you process a new link, the following data is sent to OpenAI:

The URL you are saving and the fetched text content of that web page.

This data is sent solely for the purpose of generating a summary and category. No personal information, device identifiers, or usage data is sent to OpenAI.

OpenAI processes this data according to their own privacy policy and API data usage policies. As of the App's release, OpenAI's API data is not used to train their models. For details, visit: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy

data.not_collected()

Terminal Link Vault does not collect, store, or share any of the following:

Personal information such as your name, email, or phone number. There is no account creation or login required.

Usage analytics, tracking data, or behavioral information of any kind.

Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprinting data.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

All vault data — including your saved links, AI summaries, categories, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device. No vault data is synced to any cloud service or external server.

If you delete the App, all associated data is permanently removed from your device.

To be completely transparent, here is what is and is not sent externally:

Sent to the target website: An HTTP request to fetch the page content of the URL you save.

Sent to OpenAI: The URL and fetched page content, for summary generation and categorization only.

Never sent anywhere: Your vault contents, saved summaries, browsing history, category preferences, theme selection, search queries, or any personal or device information.

OpenAI — Used for AI-powered link summaries and auto-categorization. Only the URL and its fetched content are shared during link processing. No other third-party services are used.

No data is shared with advertisers, analytics providers, or any other external parties.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
